Inspired by the events on Friday 13th 2015. I dedicate this poem to all those who´s homes have been destroyed, and to all who have lost loved ones. Pray for the world. We all share the earth, Yet we find it challenging. Souls must grieve, The tragic war. How ironic it should be, The death of a faithful human Must be in vain, With inhuman interest. Painful hearts Buried, dried eyes And proud vests Carrying beautiful sorrow. The flag at half mast All dark pigments, Saddening the approaching future, And the land remains vast. Pray for those who no longer have a land to defend, For those who all belongings lean on their backs And have nowhere to go, Because the word “home” is nonexistent now. The world darkens, And the road that pushes, And slowly whitens, Shuts down and disappears. White dove of peace, Find freedom already, Because there´s no will And there's no one brave. War does not ask for words, Humanity does. Let intolerance pass, For a new door to unlock. War, Salt in the open wound of earth.
